The team
We are seeking a Product Marketing Manager who will be responsible for redefining and executing Pentaho’s product marketing strategy. The role will lead and influence joint initiatives across marketing, product management, sales, customer support, customers, and partners as well as help plan the launches of new products and releases.
The Pentaho Product Marketing Manager will be an evangelist for promoting the Pentaho story to external audiences. This role will develop compelling product positioning and messaging programs, ultimately shaping prospect and customer facing programs. Reporting to the Pentaho Head of Product Management, this individual will be a key contributor to the product roadmap, help represent the voice of the customer and influence the product direction.
The role
The ideal candidate will have a track record of success and significant experience in complex, fast-paced SaaS//PaaS environments leading Product Marketing for multi-product roadmaps along with experience in data management, data analytics or B2B Software. Responsibilities include:
- Market Intelligence: Lead market research efforts to undertand industry trends, customer needs and the competitive landscape. Translate insights into actionable strategies that guide product development and marketing campaigns.* Product Positioning: Develop compelling messaging and positioning that clearly articulates the value proposition and benefits our products to our target audience* Go-to-Market Strategy: Plan and execute to-to-market strategies for product launches and updates, ensuring alignment across all marketing channels and teams* Sales Enablement: Equip the sales team with necessary tools, materials and training to effectively sell the product. This includes creating sales presentations, product demos and case studies* Content Creation: Oversee the development of product related content such as blog posts, whitepapers, product videos, and website copy to drive demand customer engagement* Measure and analyze the effectiveness of product marketing initiatives, adjusting strategies based on performance data and market feedback* Work closely with product management, sales, customer success and marketing communications teams to ensure cohesive and consistent messaging and strategy* Comfortable working under pressure to high standards and tight deadlines* Strong organizational and project management skills* Collaborate with cross-functional teams and third parties
What you’ll bring
- 8+ years of product marketing experience in SaaS/PaaS environments, 3+ years experience preferably in the data management B2B Software space* 8+ years of leading Product marketing for multi-product roadmaps* 5+ years of leveraging competitor analysis and market research* Proficient in productivity applications such as Microsoft Office, Project or Basecamp.* Bachelors degree in Business or Marketing
