We have a small marketing team and while we have done an incredible job executing product marketing needs as they've popped up, we've never had an official product marketing function and it has always sat of the back burner. Now that our team is growing, I am now stepping into the role of building product marketing as a function. I hope to gain a wealth of knowledge from someone who has the product marketing chops so that I can be a successful leader of this new team and drive revenue through this new marketing function.

The reality is that in being around people that are hungry for growth, I will continue to be hungry. In addition, there are many unknowns in this new role. Having mentors that know the ropes and have had the at-bats to know which lanes are likely good investments could help me guide our new team down the right path on try #1.

I want to turn product marketing into a revenue driver for Perry Weather and I'm starting off with a blank sheet of paper with a few scribbles on it. I need guidance and accountability get the work done to launch this Product Marketing function successfully and I believe being around a bunch of like-minded people is an incredible way to accomplish that.
