About The RoleThis position is designed for a strategic Product Marketer looking for an opportunity to make a massive impact on Indeavor’s business. You will report to the SVP of Growth and partner closely with the Marketing, Revenue, Product Management, and Customer Success teams.
In this role, you’ll grow Indeavor’s revenue by building the Product Marketing Function from scratch, crafting Go-to-Market strategy, overhauling positioning and messaging, creating and executing product marketing initiatives, training and enabling Revenue, and nurturing cross-functional relationships.
Your primary goals will be to craft positioning and messaging to differentiate Indeavor’s products and to verticalize this messaging for each vertical we serve. This messaging will enable Marketing to increase awareness and broaden top-of-funnel leads. You’ll also partner with Revenue to standardize their sales pitch and develop a sales training program.
Key Responsibilities
- Build the Product Marketing Function from the ground up, leveraging our strategic product marketing roadmap to quickly make an impact across the company
- Understand the market, industry verticals, and trends to effectively target buyers where they are (events, peer groups, social media, digital resources, etc.)
- Conduct customer research to develop Ideal Customer Profiles, buyer personas and differentiated, verticalized positioning and messaging that resonates with prospects and customers
- In partnership with Revenue, standardize the sales pitch(es) and deck(s), to ensure a unified message that resonates with prospects
- Translate a complex and detailed product (and roadmap) into benefits and outcomes that customers care about
- Systematize the product release and launch processes, developing consistent internal communications and training, and external updates to existing customers and prospects
- Implement a scalable sales training program that provides sales reps with a deep understanding of industry verticals, including how our products solve buyer pain points
- Work closely with the Marketing and Sales teams to increase lead generation and drive lead education through marketing campaigns, events, content, case studies, and testimonials
- Create and maintain sales collateral including presentations, demos, one-pagers, email templates, video scripts, talking points, etc.
- Enhance the existing product adoption process by partnering with Customer Success to develop case studies and content that increases platform usage
- Collaborate and coordinate with 3rd-party agencies that manage ad campaigns, graphic design, SEO, and the company website
Requirements
- 5+ years of product marketing experience
- Agile leader that manages projects autonomously and has extensive experience creating and executing GTM strategy effectively
- Enterprise SaaS background, including familiarity with long sales cycles, multi-year deals, and long implementations requiring hyper-specific integrations with core systems
- Deep expertise in distilling customer research insights into actionable positioning and messaging
- Highly cross-functional, with the ability to influence and motivate stakeholders both in and outside the company
- Strong presentation skills, executive presence, and ability to lead in the midst of ambiguity are critical
- Example of customer-facing collateral (deck and/or one pager)
- Excellent verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
- Travel up to 15%
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Manufacturing or industrial environments
- Experience working at a HR technology company or familiarity with the industry
