What’s commerce built for passion? It’s a fair question, especially since EQL is the first of its kind.
We're building commerce for brands that don't just have customers, they have fans. Where the passion that surrounds products is off the charts, but also means the experience has traditionally gone off the rails with lackluster experience—sites crashing, bad actors, empty carts. If you’ve ever tried to get your hands on a pair of Jordans, coveted handbags, Taylor Swift tickets, or a ticket to a footy final, you know what happens next.
Fans and bots rush the retailer’s site. The thing you thought you had in your cart disappears. You desperately click ‘next’, and after staring at a spinner for the longest time, you get forcibly logged out and end up back on the homepage. Five minutes later, you’ve got a pending charge on your credit card but nothing to show for it. Soon you’ll be turning to the resale market in desperation…
This is where EQL comes in. We’re on a mission to build the world’s first and fairest launch platform for both fans and retailers.
Our platform helps global brands and retailers maximize these high-intensity retail moments. We provide hype-scale infrastructure, bot and scammer detection and robust checkout management so that sites don’t crash, scammers are squeezed out, and REAL fans win. We do this using a bunch of extremely cool and innovative technologies, and we’re constantly iterating to improve the fan experience. We’ve raised capital from leading VCs and angel investors across the world who believe in our mission and who are as excited about solving this pain for our customers as we are.

What you’ll do
We're looking for a dynamic Senior Product Marketing Manager to join the EQL team, who will serve as the driving force behind our product marketing endeavours. This role offers significant ownership and impact as the third full-time marketing hire, collaborating with a product team that is focused on building a new type of commerce—rethinking what it means for brands to launch and maximize the passion surrounding the world’s hottest products. As part of this role, you’ll own and execute your strategy, ensuring EQL’s products resonate with our target audience and contribute to EQL’s growth. Bonus points if you can bring experience with brand or digital marketing strategy, too. You'll shape a future where commerce is driven by passion. If you’re ready to make your mark, there’s a lot that goes into it, including but not limited to:
- Develop and own the comprehensive product marketing strategy and approach that aligns with business objectives.* Deeply understand our products, the market, our audiences, with research and interviews, identifying insights and opportunities* Work closely with product teams to define positioning, messaging, and go-to-market plans and activities* Lead product launches and coordinate all aspects of launch activities, including messaging, positioning, pricing, and sales training* Become the subject matter expert on our products for internal and external stakeholders* Coordinate, plan, and manage product-related campaigns, marketing collateral, and sales enablement materials* Work closely with the product team to drive strategic marketing initiatives, growth experiments, and champion of the EQL brand* Ensure we’re driving growth and brand best practices across the partner and fan experience* Analyze and report on marketing performance, share learnings, and optimize future efforts

We believe you’ll succeed in this role if you have:
- Proven success in product marketing within the technology or SaaS industry, demonstrating a strong track record of achievement.* Deep understanding of product marketing principles, encompassing market analysis, positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategy.* Ability to not only strategize but also roll up sleeves and execute effectively, consistently delivering high-quality output.* Familiarity with brand marketing and/or digital marketing channels and strategies.* Strong analytical skills to interpret data and insights, facilitating informed decision-making and strategic planning.* Excellent communication and presentation skills, enabling the clear and compelling articulation of complex concepts.* Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, particularly Product, Engineering, and Revenue, to influence without direct authority.* Highly organized with strong project management skills, adept at managing multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.* Enthusiasm for technology and innovation, driven by a desire to lead positive change in the industry.
