Job Description****ContextWe are thrilled to open our first Product Marketing Manager role at Shipup. This strategic decision comes at the perfect time for several compelling reasons.
Firstly, we have recently made the decision to shift our target market, which presents new exciting challenges in terms of adoption and usage. Our dedicated product managers have been working hard to address these challenges internally. In fact, our product team is eager to go the extra-mile in implementing new features and seeks to gather more insights and recommendations from this PMM.
Secondly, we have recently launched important features such as Smart Delivery Estimate, Claim, and Return. We would greatly appreciate your invaluable help in improving our GTM strategy and driving adoption of these additions to our product lineup.

MissionAs the 1st Product Marketing Manager, your role is crucial in providing insights from market analyses, persona satisfaction, and competition to feed the product strategy. By offering these valuable insights, you will contribute to shaping the product strategy, positioning, and storytelling, enabling informed decisions and effectively addressing the needs of our target market.
In addition, you will define go-to-market strategies and drive product adoption for new features, leveraging your expertise in market research and client insights. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will ensure smooth product launches and drive demand generation. This involves planning and coordinating the product launch, aligning with stakeholders on strategy and planning, supporting operational teams, creating compelling content, and providing sales training and enablement.
Lasty, you'll identify the appropriate KPIs, create dashboards, analyze results, and define actionable next steps to make informed decision for success.

🙌 Our teamYou will join the Tech & Product team, which consists of seventeen people led by Léa (CPTO), Florian (VP of Engineering), Simon (Head of Technology), and Dounia (Lead Product Manager).
- Our product team includes two product managers (Paul and Emmanuel) and two product designers (Matteo and Valérie).
- Our engineering team is composed of two engineering managers and eight developers.
This Tech & Product team is divided into two squads:
- Online-shopper perceived value: this squad has the ownership of all features that are directly dedicated to end-customers. Squad members will focus on features for which the benefits are mainly perceived by / or directed towards the latter.
- Merchant perceived value : this squad has the ownership of all features that benefit directly the Merchants. Squad members will focus on providing our merchant’s operations and CS teams with the tools and resources they need to be successful.
In this role, you will be part of the product team and work for both squads. You will have a strong collaboration with Product Managers, as you will be responsible for the go-to-market strategy of features.

What You Have...
- Previous experience(s) as a PMM: You have a solid understanding of the PMM role and its responsibilities. You have also faced various challenges and have successfully navigated them in an established work environment.
- Strategic thinking: you are skilled at developing a clear vision for the future of a product and its market. You can align product marketing strategies with the company's goals, taking into account industry trends, customer needs, and competition.
- Language skills: you are proficient in English and French to effectively communicate with colleagues, stakeholders, and partners in both languages.
- Framework mastery (GTM & Adoption): you have expertise in go-to-market strategies and driving product adoption. You understand and apply frameworks to successfully launch products and drive their adoption in the market.
- Organizational skills: you are able to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously. You can maintain organization and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaboration skills: you actively listen to and value input from team members and stakeholders. You build and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, and share knowledge and information to foster collaboration and achieve shared goals.
- Communication skills: you can present ideas convincingly to influence others. You communicate ideas and information clearly and concisely.
